Behind the Silence
“Behind The Silence” is a passion project created by the Z Productions team. This film has organically reached over 4 million people on social media, 2 million views, and is shared by 118,000 people.
The purpose of this short film is to depict the stages of how domestic abuse progresses and gets worse with time. Whether it be through financial control, isolation from a support system, physical abuse, or verbal abuse, domestic abuse presents itself in various forms, regardless of socioeconomic factors.
Speaking up and getting help may be, in most cases, overpowered by other fears such as what society would think, financial reasons, children, or in the case of Covid-19, even more complications. If and when women who are victims of domestic violence are ready to get help, they can do so with the contacts included in the end of the film.
